2010 Easter Egg Decoration Competition results

There were 48 entrants of all ages into our first competition to decorate an Easter Egg in the traditional way.

Competitors had to blow their own eggs and then use their imagination and creative flair to produce a hand painted egg to impress the judges.

Our panel of judges comprised Jonno Foden, Fellow of The British Institute of Inn Keeping, plus Sue & Robin Adams from Great Dunmow (so there could be no bias!); they had the difficult task of selecting the winners…

Egg1       2nd Runner up  - A Rutherford, who wins a bottle of wine.

Egg2       1st Runner Up – Clare Markham, who wins a bottle of wine.

Egg3       1st Prize – Virginia Spray, who wins a two course dinner for two.

The standard was extremely high and the competition fierce, but fair play was observed and everyone enjoyed themselves.  Congratulations to all who participated.

Pictures of many of the decorated eggs can be viewed on the website and Facebook.

In the run up to Christmas there will be an opportunity to decorate your own baubles, that is Christmas decorations before the mind wanders too far!
