We will hear about his experiences in training, on bombing raids, and his time with the rest of the crew. He then changed trades to becoming a Fighter Controller, working with (amongst others) “Ginger” Lacey – top RAF Fighter Ace. He will then talk about Squadron Leader Major – his bomber skipper, who became a test pilot. Squadron Leader Major has a tragic link with Felixstowe, and a prototype jet-powered flying boat fighter.
