At Easter it will be 80 years since Ermintrude first took to the road and she will be celebrating by running a number of sight-seeing guided day tours throughout April:

Depart from Rendlesham, Bentwaters Business Park, where free parking is available, and Wickham Market Railway Station on all tours, also Woodbridge & Ipswich on certain tours. Details below.

John Constable lived at East Bergholt and attended Dedham Grammar School.  Our tour follows the Rivers Orwell & Stour until we reach Flatford where the locations of several of his paintings can be identified.  There is free time in Dedham & Flatford.

From the 12th to 16th centuries West Suffolk was an extremely rich area because of sheep rearing, wool exports, weaving and the cloth trade.  In one of our most picturesque tours we visit some of the medieval towns which enjoyed that wealth and contain some of the finest buildings in Britain.  There is free time in Lavenham, Long Melford & Clare

During the 1920’s & 30’s Borley Rectory near Sudbury was widely believed to be one of the most haunted sites in Britain.  We take up the story of the Rev. Foyster and his young wife after they left Borley in a tale that involves deception, bigamy, changes of identity, Rendlesham village, the USAAF & The Pope.

Visiting locations on the former Framlingham Branch and other lines including Laxfield, Stradbroke, Mendlesham & Debenham (MSLR) and Eye & Mellis on the former Eye Branch line.

All trips will operate subject to a minimum of 18 passengers booking.
Alternative vehicles may be used if Ermintrude is indisposed.
